SALT Ministry

About

Pinewoods SALT Ministry is dedicated to the older adult members of our congregation with the mission to (1) provide assistance when and where needed to our older adult members, (2) provide opportunities for fellowship and social activities for them to participate in and (3) provide opportunities for our older adult members to serve and shepherd younger members of the congregation with new ministries. We believe our older adult members have so much yet to give as well as need to be supported as they age. Lessons of faith and the promises of Christ shared with our younger generation are vital to keeping younger families ever growing and walking in the Lord's narrow path.

  • August 8th at 2:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall we will be having our Monthly SALT Ministry Birthday and Anniversary Bash!  Join the fun when we take a day out to celebrate everyone in our ministry who has a Birthday or Anniversary that falls in this month!  Cake & Ice Cream are on the menu as well as light snacks.  Click here to register.

  • Join the Pinewoods SALT Ministry for a Pot Luck Dinner and "Hymn Sing" on Wednesday, August 12th at 3:00PM in the Pinewoods Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall.  For more information and to register, click here.

  • SALT’s new “Faith Community Nursing Ministry” (FCN) will be having a seminar on "Prediabetes and Prevention" on August 22nd at 2:00 in the Fellowship Hall. Our certified FCN nurses, James and Jeannie Smith, will be presenting information on this important topic many of us face and don't even know it!   • Mark your calendars now!!!  Although it's a bit far out on the calendar, you will definitely want to plan to attend our 2026 SALT Ministry Retreat! We are still working on details and agendas and hope to have those ready to share with you soon. Our keynote teacher this year will be Dr. Derek W.H.
